.....and the winner of the tagline contest is....
Shrexy!!!!
(And I still don't know if tagline is one word or two...)
Looks like I'm finally going to have to spill the beans on our wild night of Albuquerque passion, boy!
I'll be changing the tagline above some time this morning to reflect the deserved winner.
Congrats!

I feel truly humbled...id like to thank all those that voted for me... that saw the inner irony..
and of course i want to thank the Parrot , without whom this would not have been possible.
...the cheques are in the mail ppl...you know who you are ( hopefully as I dont !! )

.....and the winner gets....
a story, written by me, when I have spare time (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hah ah ah hah ah ha hahh haha a) about YOU! And good thing you won as I actually have a story about you!!!
Plus your tagline is the Official Tagline of La Pajaro! I'll post it up in a bit once I get the boys fed!

Congrats Shrexy .
You realise of course, that with the "unfinished symphonies" part of the tagline,B now has official licence to leave us dangling?
Gee,thanks!

Yay, Shrexy!!! Instead of the cheque, how about a small pet wallaby? I've always wanted one of those :)
Seriously, I think it's a very well-won win -- a tagline to do her proud.
But really..."feel free to lie, embellish, add..." Spoken like a man with highly adequate self esteem! Much better than "feel free to omit the part about..."
I think that needs to be a "tell all" (tall?) tale, Birdie. Hope you find the time for it real soon :-)

I can't believe I didn't win, but I do love the new tag line. Hey, I actually know what paczkis are! I didn't until I moved to MI though. They are HUGE here. (And are usually spelled phonetically.) Also, this year Paczki Day is also The Alien's first birthday! Woo Hoo!!

Can you handle it Birdie ?? lol

Posted by: Shrexy | February 05, 2007 at 05:38 AM
I should write you into the Roswell story, kill two bird stories, so to speak, with one pen!
Posted by: Birdie | February 05, 2007 at 03:59 PM
Good plan, Birdie!! Shrexy will surely blend into the Roswell landscape very nicely.
I just got back from a week in Boulder, and boy did I miss a lot! So much has happened for you in that time.

I loved the sewing machine story. Your description is SO vivid and the fact that the story has something to say is a welcome change when we swim in a culture of "The Departed" (the movie) which leaves no "message" worth preserving in my mind. Thank you. Your story truly says something beautiful about those that depart from us - not necessarily in death, but equally significantly in being out of our lives. Brava.
