Time go BOOM...
I just posted my first Official Writing Lesson at BlogHer. Please read "Marty Cherryseed and the Good Bad Idea."
The past few weeks I wrote more than I ever thought possible, wrote, rewrote, shoved words in a paper bag, completed an introduction to my book of short stories, wrote this, wrote that. The words are furious with me, as if I've kept them stuffed in a hope chest much too long.
My daughter is visiting for the week, and we will make the trek to Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell. I have some great stories to tell about my past few weeks - some surprises, oh yes, with photographs even - and when I'm finished with the BlogHer conference next week, I shall do my best to tell one or two of the juciest.
Your story is wonderful, Birdie - score one more life lesson from parent to child to parent again.
And, I love the concept of "furious words". Let us out! LET US OUT!!!

Oh my - there she goes promising stories again :) I think we should just wait till they come out in her 3rd or 4th book :) *sigh*

Enjoy your daughter. I love your story and writing prompts. You've made me remember that there can be a story in the everyday things of life.

Thanks, Bonnie. My daughter is leaving today, and I'm leaving today for BlogHer. I was up till the wee hours writing my piece for blogher and didn't finish it, oh well. I'm going back to it now. It's difficult to continue working and writing when one has company. Thanks so much for the heads up, just fixed it. :)
