Nice to meet you, too, Design Mom!

I met 800 amazing women this past weekend at BlogHer in Chicago! I'm sitting in an airport, waiting (fingers crossed) for the desk to call my name, tell me I made it on the plane. Frontier Airlines canceled one flight and double booked every seat on another, and I'm begging for a stand-by seat along with a couple hundred displaced others. I'll post my thoughts on BlogHer and the Storytelling panel once I'm back in the Land of Enchantment.

Moi's art wedgie!

The beautiful picture was made by regular reader and commenter "moi" using the art widget! The title is "Desert soaring."

Painting in Tongues

My friend Didi Menendez, poet, painter, editor of Mipoesias and Director of miPOradio did a painting of the crazy tongue pic I posted this morning. As she worked, she sent me all the steps, from the simple lines with which she began to the layers of color and texture she added, a flat sculpture of time and memory and snow.

I love it!!!
