I'm alive, everything is dandy, recovery has been super slow but steady. Just checking in to let everyone know I'm still on the planet.
While I finish getting back on track, try taking the Computer Geek or Serial Killer Quiz!
A couple of weeks ago I had a mild case of the flu - low grade fever, aches, pains, chills, all things that demand bed rest and cups of hot broth. Of course, having young boys the bed rest was a pipe dream, but at least I took ramen at morning, noon, and night. Six cents a pack, can't beat that.
One of my symptoms other than the usual scared me. Straight-up wild vertigo. Every time I swished my head this way or that, up or down, side to side, the room lifted from the foundation and spun - hard! It's two weeks later and the room still vibrates. Gotta be a sinus deal, I figured, and visted the local walk-in clinic.
Ends up it's not sinus, just a viral infection - vestibular neuritis - of the nerve that runs from inner ear to brain. Just give it a few weeks, says the doc. It will heal.
Weeks?! Ugh. Can't accomplish a whole lot when the world is tornado.
